New Pickups Day!

Well not today, but the other week I installed an awesome pre-wired Special Strat set from @Mojopickups into my Gordon Smith.  Today I've had a good play around with them, and a looper pedal, and a Tascam handheld recorder.  And a webcam.

They are so good... Easy to fit, thanks to the prewired harness (had to re-route the massive capacitor because the routing in the GS is pretty shallow - only as deep as the pots), but way easier and neater than me doing it all myself.

This is my second Strat set from Marc - they're different to the first (or maybe it's the GS that's different to my Warmoth?) but equally awesome.

Video is just a noodle, playing with some tones.  Drive pedals are @TateFX Brexit Means Brexit (RAT clone), and MRX GT-OD for the less aggressive stuff.  It's only edited to remove my coughs and sneezes.

The revelation for me is the wiring of the second tone as a neck pickup/bridge blend pot.  Lovely tones to be had!
