NGD: Gibson Les Paul R7 gold top, single pickup :)

Been after a single pickup gold top Les Paul for a while now as they rarely come up 

Looked at the Joe Perry model but at nearly 4.5k it’s ridiculous money plus I wasn’t  keen on the Wilkinson trem and thin body as I already have an Axcess model with a Floyd 

Anyway I was so pleased that a rare single pickup 2011 R7 Goldtop came up and also even more rare is that it’s also got gold back and sides too as well as the back of the neck

Also has the VOS finish

There's no doubt that's a wonderful guitar.  Something about freaks me out though, it's like that monster in Pan's Labyrinth

Oh good lord! Much prefer this to a Junior but they are thin on the ground. Guessing you don't save money for having less on the guitar either?

I really didn’t think I’d ever get one of these. I’ve seen a couple of single pup models on reverb that sold in the states but they were a black custom and a white custom
