Newly Refinished Guitar Day (Well, not today, but recently)

I have this Elite. It's a very easy guitar to play, sounds great with the humbuckers and is a rock & roll machine! I use it in my covers band for everything but the colour just never did anything for me. I got it for £750 on eBay in an amazingly good bargain and I just went for it and luckily I love it.



So I put a post on here for any refinishers and the lovely folks recommended none other than @lamf68. So I checked out his work, sent him a message, was amazed at the reasonable rates, and then decided to go ahead with a refinish. I didn't know what I wanted so Richard made me choose something a bit unique, and we decided together on a Mary Kaye dirty blonde.

After a few more days we decided on a matching headstock. We weren't sure that it would look nice, but we risked it and luckily it looks great! It didn't hurt that he had darkened the fretboard a bit too!

So here it is. (I'm using his pictures because they're much, much better than mine.






And here she is with her shadow...

I actually looked at the first pic thinking that was it and thought "hmm the colour isn't really to my taste but it looks cool" then I saw the refin pics and boom!

Edit: That is possibly the single nicest Strat headstock I've ever seen lol

That looks brilliant! One of my favourite looking Strats I reckon

Rich did my Performance (the orange sparkle one) and although he wasn't happy with the finish at all I think it looks bloody wicked. He's an absolute star

Repainted then a new set of decals. Looking at the photos, the new ones are completely different.
