Just got this today and I am delighted. It's my second custom build and third HJ Williams guitar.

I love it!  Sounds amazing clean and dirty.
  • Birdseye maple neck and fretboard;
  • Alder body with maple cap;
  • Neck profile slightly fatter than PRS wide-fat;
  • 25" scale length;
  • 22-frets;
  • 10-14" compound radius;
  • Gotoh 510 bridge;
  • Gotoh SG360 locking tuners;
  • Fralin Vintage Hot pickups;
  • 5-way selector;
  • Neck master mini-toggle (switching below);
  • Series/parallel mini-toggle (switching below).
And, in case the sound of a guitar is remotely important, here's a one-take slightly too-reverb tone demo (if it works):

    Oh good lord that is gorgeous! The neck carve sounds like my ideal as well - should fortunes ever change do bear me in mind ;)

    Congratulations on a fantastic guitar!

  • @Winny_Pooh - it's how I imagined it but better.

    Thanks, @timmypix - I would rather your fortunes changed, so you can get one too :)

  • Absolutely fantastic. A couple of things worth mentioning about Haydn's work, firstly, not only do they always look great, have incredible standards of craftsmanship, but they always play beautifully as well. The other thing about his work is that his strength as an electric maker is equalled by his acoustic guitars which are world class. He also has an absolute wealth of knowledge behind everything he does.

    I know I’m a serial roller but the Williams customs won’t go that way!

  • Fantastic looking beast, but  why didn’t he do the back the same colour as the front, was  it your choice? just seems odd to me.

    I actually let him do what he felt right. I don’t disagree, although still like it.

    That is absolutely the best looking strat I've ever seen.  Very jealous indeed.  Enjoy

    Do you have other pickguards with it?

    I asked for a parchment one but not sure if it actually got made.  I'm totally sold on this one, to be honest, so unlikely to change it.

    Nice playing, sounds great!

    I wish more people would put sound clips on their NGDs.

    Thanks. I thought the same. It looks nice but does it sound good? Somewhat crucial with gear...
