    Boss DD-7 (again)

    Digitech Bad Monkey (again)

    EHX Grand Canyon
S&K VHD (this was a very tough decision)
    Idiot Box Dungeon Master
    Laney AOR 100
    Seymour Duncan 805

Origin 50 is the best purchase for me this year as it literally ticks all the right boxes for me - loud, powerful, bags of head room, cuts through the mix, sounds great with pedals, and it's not too heavy.

I never thought I'd go for a reverb, but the Levitation is absolutely incredible. It sounds like a dream. Unfortunately I have the V1 which has the rock hard footswitch but apart from that it's a keeper.

I went back to the Amptweaker Fat Metal as it's the best high gain distortion pedal I have ever used (in terms of sounds and features).

Revisited the Bad Monkey once again, and it's proved remarkable once again. Such an awesome no-frills TS for a bargain. I'll probably try out more overdrives next year (something that isn't a TS) to push my Amptweaker, maybe thinking of a Blues Driver, the SSBS Mini, Boneshaker and a few others.

Next year it's pretty much a certainty I'll be getting the Boss DD-200. Just need to wait until the Xmas shite is out of the way first. Amp-wise I'm pretty happy, but I would really like a go on the EVH 5150 iii EL34. Guitars I'm happy with, and I only have two of them.

I probably bought and sold more stuff this year then ever before. Having a kid pretty much helped me to see I have too much stuff.

What I saw is not great... given my ability as a player. I could do with just one guitar and an amp and be perfectly happy.

I just went totally berserk and ordered myself a mosky GH for Xmas!

Might even completely throw caution to the wind and get a new strap!

Just noticed one on amazon reduced from about £40 to about £15!

    Crazy times!

  • This thread has caused me to stop and be mildly surprised with myself, absolutely no gear in or out, apart from many many boxes of strings. It must be the first year I haven't bought anything in one helluva long time. I've ended up with more guitars. amps and studio gear than is absolutely necessary, even though my full time job is playing and writing, but that has never stopped me before.
On the guitar front, maybe it's because the want list is very very short these days.
On the amp front, my MKIV Boogie, Marshall or Fenders do it, but the game changer has been the Kemper which offers constant free updates and for studio work is an absolutely brilliant piece of kit.
I may actually make a decent profit this year !  :)
