Gretsch - so shiny, so beautiful, educate me

Having a wander in Dawson's in Manchester today and the gretschs caught my eye. Seems a stunning instrument for the money. 
Ive got an Epi dot with fletcher paradise pickups in it, is the gretsch going to be very similar? I guess if I went full hollow body with filtertrons would give a different feel?

Also how do the model lines work? Do they have a MIM equivalent stream?

Baaically Streamliner - Electromatic - Proline - Custom shop.

Proline is MIJ, Electro is Korea and China, so roughly MIM equiv.

Filtertrons are pretty different to paf-type buckers, theres a few Filter types as well which sound quite different to each other. But yes pretty different to a Dot. I have three Flecher trons but theres a few makers to pick from.
