All depends on what you expect to do on the thing.

Proper Emmet Chapman, Greg Howard self-contained, self-accompaniment stuff requires mucho study.

The Tony Levin approach of playing bass motifs over drum grooves is easier. (His playing in Liquid Tension Experiment, Stick Men and Levin Minnemann Rudess is somewhat trickier.)

Using the Melody strings to trigger a synthesizer makes for interesting sonic textures. I probably shred better on Stick /VG-99 than I can on guitar.

For what I do on Stick, if I had the money to spend again, I would invest in an SB-8 or NS Stick.
