I was lamenting that it seems impossible to find slightly beat up mid range guitars that I could do something with, now I know that’s because you buy all of them you animal.

I knew about a couple of these guitars but had not seen them all - The Gordon Smith + Shergold + the 2 Hofners look far better than expected - Hope they are all okay H7

That Shergold Meteor looks in great condition.

My Meteor has a finish like a ploughed field, it’s so rough you could probably grate cheese with it.. I still love it though, even if it has been thwacked with the ugly stick.

I've already called dibs on the Shergold. ;-)

There's a synergy here - Harry finds them, buys them and enjoys them, then passes the Shergolds onto my Shergie retirement home.

I had a Hofner Super Solid  3 type .I think  it was a V3 .It had diamond cover pickups  but looked similar .Nice guitar  and all I could afford .I played a lot in our band through a Watkins amp .We played a lot of Shads stuff and people thought we sounded like them but not a Fender in sight .I sang the cliff Richard stuff when failed to impress the ladies though as it it turns out I would have been more use to them than Stiff Pilchard ever would

Although you collect a lot of crap I would probably be in the same position if it were not for a sensible wife .
