Songs for school exam

Does anybody know any songs that will satisfy the senior school examiners ...I have a 15 year old pupil doing it this year as part of his music exam ....looking for something fairly simple that will satisfy what they are looking for

I don't know what they're looking for, but when I did mine (20 years ago) I played Tears in the Rain by Joe Satriani.

If it's GCSE then it needs to be at least grade 4 standard. I suggest you read the syllabus of whichever exam board your student is taking.

Re the standard, you'll get 30/30 for doing a grade 4 piece perfectly and lose marks against the criteria (also available online) for every slip, misinterpretation etc. If you do a grade 5+ piece your grade is bumped up automatically by 5 marks so you can afford to make up to 5 slips etc. and still get 30/30.
