    Yeah I've been doing this, just done Apache so I can play it at Shadows night. You can mess  with the chords while keeping the melody a perfect neg 4th and it really opens up a whole new song

    Cool. I've done it without realising what it was called .. the guy above has some interesting vids on his YouTube channel.

    Well my favourite is Hough’s. 



    You really need to hear the whole thing - well definitely 17 and 19, to get the effect. But the whole thing. It’s totally amazing. We have that performance of Lisitsa’s on CD - not sure if it’s all on youtube though.

    I remember doing this at Uni
    retrograde: backwards
    inversion: invert the intervals
    retrograde inversion: invert the intervals and backwards
    play every note as if it were your first
