The Classic Rock Show - Tour 2020

I've just seen a fantastic show at Cadogan Hall put on by the above and they had the wonderful Pete Thorn as one of the guitarists.

If you want to have a fun night, hear classic rock songs done brilliantly, hear great tones, see an array of nice guitars and watch top flight musicians/vocalists with a great and clear overall sound, I can't recommend the show enough.

Catch them on this tour over the next month as they play the length and breadth of the country.

I'd love to know more about the respective guitar rigs as I spotted various pedals including Strymons, an Axe FX and its switcher, a 633 Amp and Pete Thorn was using a new design red Suhr SSH Superstrat (the headstock was different to the usual ones and  like Suhr's JM model), a Suhr rig and I'm not sure if it was his new, smaller head with IRs (looked like it) or the larger wattage PT Signature head. Stellar tones and playing from both guys

Oh a show in Edinburgh instead of the usual Glasgow for once! Nice!

Did they do any GNR, Van Halen etc or was it mostly older stuff? Good guitar duel at end?

They did VH and 70s, 80s and 90s stuff.

Have a search of their vids and it's a great night of good music

Surprised to see Pete Thorn there. Is Howie G not doing it anymore? Have seen this show a few times and it is always very good. Bat out of hell, telegraph road, and free bird are always great, assuming they still play them.

I really wanted to see Howie G, too as he's fantastic and in a different league, but it was an absolute treat to see Pete Thorn play live and he was a great fit with the band. I don't know why Howie G wasn't on this tour but I was actually surprised to see PT there as it's NAMM Week

Loads of classic songs featuring a Red Special, White Gibson Double-Neck, Les Paul's, Superstrats, Tele-types but I won't give the set away.

Well, there are 2 that they do and it could be, but they didn't do both in the same set this time

 It's interesting that in addition to see that in addition to the 2 X H9s, a Strymon Mobius, Boss DD delay, an MXR Phaser, possibly a Wampler Mini Ego and others, he has a Helix Stomp there as well.

As I said in my original post, he had a great live sound when I saw them/him and that Suhr PT-15IR certainly delivered

The Helix Stomp is a backup and has two patches, a Marshall and a Boost with delay in case everything else goes down. He can just use the Helix straight to FoH and ride the guitar volume.
