Midge Ure signature guitar

What's Hot
Has anyone played one of these? They are produced by Vintage.

I'd heard about them and sought info out online earlier. They look really good, especially for the money.

They’re probably perfectly decent, but he had one of the worst sounds I’ve ever heard from a professional musician on a big stage when I saw him a couple of years ago.

More to do with whatever it was going through than the guitar though, I’m sure...

  • I'm not a fan as such although hes been involved with some excellent stuff over the years. What appeals is that I like LPs and his model has a trem and generally looks good without being flash.

Seems like a nice guy and, so I believe, can land on the beat (let's see if anyone gets that reference).

  • What's the build quality like @Legionreturns ? Ive only seen a few Vintage guitars on the shop wall but not had chance to play one.

@tony99 what about Spider Stacy? That's if we count a spider as an insect. Same would apply to the Scorpions.

The Beatles (formerly known as the Silver Beetles!)
    Praying Mantis
    WASP

Spiders and scorpions aren’t insects. [/pedant]

Generally very good. I've owned two Vintage guitars, and still have a V52 Butterscotch Tele which is really good. I've not had to change a thing. The only thing that would worry me would be the trem, as it looks pretty basic.

Is it just me or is he a a bit of a surprising choice for a signature guitar?
