Not one, but two dubious Jazzmasters for sale in the UK at the moment.

Both claim to be USA models, both appear to have Mexican classic player bodies.

To the best of my knowledge there has never been a USA model with the relocated trem position. If anyone knows better, happy to be corrected with apologies to the sellers.

The black example appears to have a genuine Fender American Special neck. Not sure about those string guides and locking machineheads.

The sunburst guitar looks believable as MIM except for the positioning of the headstock decal.

You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

  • I wouldn't put money on those trems being genuine Fender either as I can't see the logo on them (admittedly I'm on my phone) but you're dead on. Aside from the 50th anniversary Jags there aren't any USA offsets with the stupid (alright, alright, "repositioned") trem location.

Not sure of any stock Jazzmasters that have tune o matics other than the MIM classic player, purple J Mascis (Japanese), Squier J Mascis and Squier Deluxe JM (red).
