Yeah, just read about him. You have to take your hat of to anyone who survives something like that but goes back in to rescue people.

I heard from a friend of one of his grandchildren that united treated him badly years after. The way he talked about "not being a coward" and "I saved my friends as I thought they would do the same for me" in later life really resonate to me after finding out about that.
