Signed up for a 30-day free pass on Groove and wanted to check the band out for a while. Maybe because it was my daughters 12th birthday a couple of days ago, and she just started secondary school, but that really moved me.

I saw Halestorm at a festival over the summer. Wasn't really expecting much but they were a lot of fun and put on a good show.

They played at the Metal hammer awards.  Where I singularly failed to see anyone but Saxon forgetting motorhead lyrics.

JB from Grand Magus told me she was a killer singer and player though.

I think she sounds pretty good in the new version of the track by Dream Theater.    (not sure about the drumming that spoils it a bit for me)

I should add that I have never heard them and I'm basing my opinion on that one picture.

@Vaiai - I love that video, because even Myles Kennedy falls prey to it. We all know the procedure - singer stops for your big moment, lean back, pull a rock face and...hit a massive bum note that will gnaw away at your soul for the rest of the gig.
