It's my daughter's 14th birthday in a couple of weeks, and we're pondering a new guitar for her. She's been playing my old art and lutherie (cedar top, electro cutaway, dread - I think) but the action's a bit Robin Hood and the truss rod seems to have maxed out.
So - I'd like something more easily playable, and hopefully something that's a bit of a step up too. I don't really know very much about acoustics, so I'm not sure how much we might need to spend to get something better. I have various pedals, partscaster bits and music books to offer in px if of interest. I know we could go to one of the music shops, but I thought we might do better for the money s/h, & we both find visits to guitar shops only slightly more fun than dentist appointments.
So - with apologies this is all a bit vague, if you have something to offer, please do shout. Equally, if you have some advice, I'm all ears too

It's a great beginner to mid-level guitar.
I'm based in Cambridge, too, if you want to come by and try it out.
If it interests anyone, things that could probably be px makeweights include a Jet City 20 head, a VHT 112 cab, Rat Deucetone, Blackstar HT-Dist and HT- Metal, a Tech21 wah - oh, and a Yamaha apxt travel guitar. There's more stuff that could probably go too.
