Rombo Picks

I got a “Try out mix” delivered from Rombo Picks today.

I stumbled across these on Instagram and called them hipster plectrums initially but then had a proper look and thought I’d give them a try.

The different models seem very well thought out and I like them, so I retract my hipster comment...

If anyone is interested in trying them...

  • They look pretty good. I've been using Brit Picks (britpick.co.uk) for years, and although the website looks like they're defunct I emailed them the other day and they're still going. I like the silicon ones, and I also like the fact that they're made from recycled plastic.
Since I got married, my stepdaughter likes to get me a set of picks for Christmas and birthday, so I now have a bucket of picks which would probably last me the rest of my life, even without the topping up it's going to get every year

Still might try the Rombos though!

You have to admit the marketing spiel is definitely hipsterish.

@Tenebrous I had to look twice to figure out what she was doing. At first I thought she was operating the gimbal.

Not as exciting as advertised. Picks look good though - especially the Jazz III alike.

  • I’ve finished with trying out new picks as I always come back to the red jazz iii. They’re definitely my favourite.

    Just ordered 8 from rombo.

It'll need to go some to beat my favourite Hawk Picks, but I've ordered a trial pack anyway

You need to try the Blue Chip Jazz picks....OMG.

These Rombo picks are far too cheap to be taken seriously. Great website and build up but they failed on making them appear special  with that price lol.
