New String Gauge Day

For many years I’ve been a champion of Newtone Heritage strings & always used 12-51’s.
  This time when it came to restring my Brook Torridge I thought it was time to help the old fingers out, so ordered up some sets of 11-47 together with some spare 51’s. Along with some 12’s I already had I’ve restrung with 12-15-19-26-36-51 & what a revelation, I was worried that a 47 would be a little bass light hence the substitution with a 51.
  The results are everything I hoped for, tonal balance & reduced tension make these an absolute joy to play, next time I will order them  as a custom set, thanks again to Neil at Newtone for his excellent service.
