I wonder if he is playing the queen monopoly during his free time?

Perhaps, he feels the need to pass on how to play the damned solo properly before he pops his clogs?

The fact he fluffs bits of it a few times has boosted my confidence massively.

I'd also pay good money to hear Brian's 'versions' of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc.
I'll get a round to buying a 'real' guitar one day.

To be fair, he’s absolutely nailed the Brian May tone....

(actually really enjoying them and Roger Taylor is clearly bored too as he’s giving small drum lessons on his Instagram)

That’s a question....the purists will say some of the earlier heavier stuff, and they’re not wrong.

However, I was 11 in 1984 when The Works was released and when I heard Hammer To Fall, I thought to myself ‘I want to play that!’. I still love that song today, so on that basis, for me it’s The Works.

Maybe because of my age and one of the first ever albums I purchased but  Sheer Heart Attack for me - It is certainly the first time I became aware of Queen after hearing Killer Queen

For my two cents Live Killers.

Remember when they used to put stickers on their albums saying no synths were used in the making of?

    Hot Space for me :o

There's actually one decent heavy track on it which is "Put Out the Fire", but the rest is dross apart from "Under Pressure"

For Queen stuff, I think you can't go wrong with "Sheer Heart Attack" or "News of the World". NotW has some great stuff, including "It's Late" with the proto-tapping technique he experimented with.

I would also urge you to listen to "Star Fleet", his solo min-album which is the title track to a Japanese TV Sci-fi show and a couple of extended blues jams with Eddie Van Halen (yes...EVH himself). It's remarkable how much of each guitarist's voice comes through and the guitar tones are just immense.

I have been follow these viseos and Brian is clearly finding it hard being couped up. But it is very understandable just a few short weeks ago he was playing stadium gigs

My favourite is Queen II, but then I'm obviously much older than a lot of you.  The first time I saw them was when they were out supporting Mott the Hoople.

Like Gary Moore on Out In The Fields, each time I saw him live in the late 80’s he’d fluff that climb.

Damn, I quoted the wrong post ha ha!!!

Cool video. I re-learnt that solo ‘note-for-note’ recently by slowing down the original to try and get every detail. In doing so I was surprised to see how few of the bends you actually hear raise in pitch. After the first two, most of them are picked once the bend is in place, then he applies the vibrato....you rarely actually hear the climb. As soon as I copped that it started to sound much more like the original. Was sort of kicking myself for never having paid that level of detail when learning it years ago...
