WTB: Basic interface for recording guitar onto my amp. Mic and stand as well.

Not sure what you mean..." recording guitar onto my amp"....you mean recording your amp sound onto a PC ?

You will need - 

A PC / Mac
An interface - Focusrite / Presonus / Audient + load of other choices 
A DAW - recording software ( a version will come with the interface) 
A Mic - Shure SM57 is a favourite and a short boom stand.
Various cables.

Depends on your budget, but Native Instruments do some amazing interfaces - Komplete Audio range. They also happen to come loaded with really useful software, the bundle alone is worth the asking price IMO.
With an interface, if it's for home use, your main considerations should be does it have phantom power (48V for your mic) and how many inputs do you need? I find all I have ever needed has been a mic input and a line input. 

Can't go wrong with a SM57

I'd recommend a condenser mic rather than an SM57 (if you can only afford one) - and look at Thomann's T-Bone range rather than Shure, Rode etc.

SM57 is a good mic for recording amps at volume, or Robert Plant at full tilt, but not so good at acoustics or gentle vocals

Great advice.
I did see the Thoman site. The Behringer stuff looks tempting at the price. I've always leaned toward the highest quality for my budget but do feel conflicted. 
Will look at the Native Inst gears.

Being nosey - what is your budget ?

less than £100. We are a tightening of the purse strings......also I don't play very often so it's not something I would want to invest much in.

PC. Lenovo laptop. Really nice but only SSD memory. I've an external drive for saving stuff
