Somewhat forgotten by musical history, they were still a great band..

If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

I know I've mentioned it before but I knew their touring sound engineer fairly well ( albeit long after he'd stopped working with them) and have occasionally dipped into listening to them as they largely passed me by at their peak. I'll have to have a look at those links,ta.

The live video above is a new addition to YouTube. The early 80's saw a lot of innovation after the Punk era, and some guitar bands were treated kinder by history than others, e.g. the Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, U2, Smiths, Jesus & Mary Chain, etc..

I loved them at the time. I got into them around Porcupine and thought Ocean Rain was their best. Around Dancing Horses is got a bit meh.

Rarely listen to them now. Maybe my inner Goth is dead.

I really like the 'on a break from E&TB' album 'Burned' by Electrafixion too, and a couple of the post-on-a-break ones, especially What Are You Going To Do With Your Life?

Love love love them.  One of my favourite bands of all time: seen them/Ian McCulloch live > 12 times...  indeed my son's first proper gig was a double header of EATBM and James at Brixton Academy in c.2012.

Guitar tab books of thier stuff somewhat thin on the ground...

    Love the early 80s records.
From what I remember,  the 90s comeback was pretty lacklustre

Loved them for the first couple of albums then thought the quality dropped...
    But...
There's a later period album called The Fountain which is a gem.
I don't really play any of their early stuff now but I always have time for any track off The Fountain.

I wouldn't say they were forgotten, always been there. Seen them a few times, not bad. Done some cracking stuff, especially early on.

I loved the side-project Electrifixation, the album Burned was one of my workplace favourites for a while.

I saw them at Friars, Aylesbury in 1981 - great gig.

I've only recently got into EatBM. I really liked Nothing Ever Lasts Forever when it came out and was familiar with Killing Moon and The Cutter but only recently delved deeper and really enjoying them now.
