(relatively) N (refinished) GD

Thought I'd share this outside of Making and Modding. Last year I built an Esquire with the intention of using it at pub gigs for some open G stuff. I have a Greco Zemaitis I have been using but I'm not keen on leaving it unattended in more 'lively' establishments.

Although I liked the rustic look, I decided to refinsh it in Fiesta Red nitro and lose the tiny scratchplate, black headstock and poly neck finish and the number 3 / serial no. plaque.

After spraying the body and stripping the neck, I tried a few combinations of hardware including a gold half bridge and keeping the original 'plate:





I settled on a Cabronita guard and the original aged hardware. I think it looks pretty sharp:

    I actually live at number 5. The tele was my neighbours guitar
