A while ago I bought a Presonus iTwo Audiobox and downloaded the Studio One software. The idea was to use it with my Atomic AmpliFire and record some ideas, possibly developing my own songs. It soon became clear that this was way too complex for my old brain so I sold it. What I'm looking for is something where I can fairly easily record some ideas onto a machine that will add drums and possibly even bass parts before transferring it to computer. The unit will be able to record and store multiple parts that can be played together as I build the song parts.
I'm thinking that some sort of reasonably sophisticated Looper might be the answer but I have no idea what would suit my needs best. The Digitech Trio Plus looks interesting, as does the Boss RC30 and the Digitech Jamman. I think the Boss records more options but the Trio + seems to offer more versatility. The Jamman looks like it does a lot but am I right in thinking it offers no drums etc.? I can live without the bass parts but whatever I get would need to have access to drums, unless buying a Looper and a drum machine separately makes more sense.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Studio One seemed to come with everything but I just couldn't make any sense of it so after numerous failed attempts to record anything, I gave up, sold the Presonus and started my search for a slightly simpler solution. I've only ever written one song before so for all I know I may use it for nothing more than jamming and messing around but I doubt I'll be in another band now so I need something to keep my interest going at home. AmpliTube does look a little more intuitive but I'm still cautious.
