Recommend a simple MacOS music player?

I'm looking for a lightweight music player app for files that are stored on a network folder. I don't want to make playlists, see pretty album art or get any AI suggestions. Just want to point the app at the folder and get it to shuffle+play MP3/WMA/etc files stored in the folder and its sub-folders.

If it makes a difference, I'm running Mojave (last fat-bastard iTunes before the big Catalina revamp), and I don't need any bloat (streaming, Internet radio, ripping, etc)

I tried to find the iTunes option where I just choose a network folder and choose shuffle play. I don't want it to build a library.

@stonevibe - yes, but I was trying to piggyback on tFBer's experience.

Vox looks interesting as does VLC. Thanks - will check them out.

Well that was easy.:)  I tried Vox first, and it's perfect. Turned off the "get album art" option and it's exactly what I need. I may try VLC if I end up putting video files on the network, too.

    Thanks, all.
