Help identifying pickup.

I've acquired a DiMarzio pickip & need help identifying it. It is a humbucker with all solid pole pieces, braided wire, DCR 8.6k.
I cant add photos at the minute.

Any number on the baseplate ? If not it’s probably an OEM

If it's all slug poles it will almost certainly be one of the OEM ones made for companies such as Hondo/Samick back in the day. They often have clipped feet as well. As they never appeared in the Dimarzio catalogue they have their own model designations. Yours could well be a K-10.

Thanks folks, I finally found a tech support email for DiMarzio,  so hopefully they can confirm.

Confirmed, it is an early K-10 with dimply pole pieces.

Great pickups, I have a pair in a mahogany Westbury and they sound fantastic

I have the equivalent OEM P Bass pickup. Creme plastic bobbins, pukka black covers with the legend DiMarzio embossed on the inside, no metal baseplate. Sadly, the covers have been all but destroyed and then poorly repaired with superglue. The stock 4-con + shield output cabling needs renewing.
