Admittedly I saw this brand as just a cashin, resting on  the past, however started to hear some realy good things about the new deluxe models, and did some research, the looks are marmite but right up my street so for the first time in about 15 years I bought a brand new guitar, knowing if it was shite it could  go straight back,

Well after nearly a week it's going nowhere, proper Ash body rosewood neck, grover locking  imperials,
Humbuckers are Seymour Duncans splitable with bone nut and wood knobs,
 The action is uber low.

I only own one electric and yeah happy it's this.

Not cheap and I'll lose a ton of I sell it but actually I'm not bothered as it's been played more than any guitar I have bought in the last few years,  mainly because of the tone and playability,

I give you the D'angelico deluxe Brighton

The only thing marmite about that is the gold hardware, the taste for which I do not have but others do. And  maybe the headstock with the jigsaw piece cut out of it. Otherwise me likey.

Looks great! Makes a change from a sunburst strat or Les Paul.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

  • I really like that. I've seen a few D'Angelico guitars recently and they all looked nice. Congratulations!
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I like the gold and I like the headstock. I suspect it may need HB sized gold foils...

Very nice - I like it, especially with the gold hardware.  :)

a simple lpj type pickguard and blue all the way up the neck and it'd be better. there's just too much going on there for me!. i think you have balance the bling - inlays, binding, gold, tort - with simple lines and shapes.

    I don't like it. Sorry.

It's just got too many annoying things that jar, for me. A Marmite jar, even :).

I've owned guitars with less wood than is in that headstock. Is it a neck diver?

I've always been indifferent about marmite. But I do like that.  Quirky without looking overly contrived.
