Wow, first track is full on awesome,  is that recorded with a mic on the acoustic ? Great sound, great production.

Interestingly we also have a howling at the moon lyric as well.

Thanks mate that's very kind of you to say. My "influences" are a bit confused, because I can't make the music I most like due to my voice not suiting it (White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the one hand, or Jeff Buckley on the other) so I have to draw on stuff that I don't mind that are within my capabilities haha. That particular one was influenced by The XX as my Mrs says my voice sounds like the both of the singers in that band (yes, the woman as well). Then I wanted some contrast at the end as it's a bit samey, so went for a "if Velvet Underground tried to play Queen" thing

I'm intending to listen to everybody's Soundclouds this weekend as I've got some study revision to do (and also got CamF's band to listen to as well), quite looking forward to it!

Here's a load of mine. My Soundcloud page consists solely of intros and solos to demonstrate to prospective dep-hirers that I can play reasonably well in a given genre. I played both guitar and bass on all of these.

Thanks @Cookiemonster! Yes, dual mics on an acoustic; SE Electronics X1 on the sound hole and an SE Electronics 4400a on the 12th fret. Some photos of the recording session here:
