My job as a community kids worker has morphed into a lot of my time writing/scripting videos with acoustic guitar based kids songs.
I have been recording a 15-18minute video completely in one take, whichnis a challenge but gives a sort of live feel.

I need some help with equipment as am looking for hardware and software to begin recording better quality resources.
New to recording and not too tech. savy but keen to learn.
What audio interface do you recommend inc. best s/ware for a beginner?
Using a USB Samson mic but results are vasic and acoustic guitar sound is quacky and even a bit flangey!
Seen packages which even include basic monitor speakers for £249 which look ok.
Windows laptop user.
Ta for any help here.
Jon
Ps the Spire looks great but thinking heading for a Strymon Iridium to hook up my p/board... but £££.

Check out Presonus and Focusrite recording packages , stuff like that, probably on Thoman Uk .

Depending on budget maybe just opt for the interface (most come with software ) then get a decent mic and monitors.

There are loads of options about now.

    Mac Mini M1
    Presonus Studio One V5

A Focusrite bundle will be a great addition. Comes with some diet versions of full DAW packages.

Remember the Cakewalk is now free through Bandcamp (Or BandLab, I always mix them up)

It's was a great DAW when it cost, let alone free

After doing a lot of research I have just bought the Focusrite Scarlett Studio 2i2 3rd Gen Bundle from Studiospares great price and lovely piece of kit and comes with software, though the free Daw's with the bundle are quite hard for a novice like me, so looking at others easier to use see my post just put on.
