Reading Material

What's Hot
Looking for some reading recommendations based around recording, mixing and production.

I’ve read these up to now.

Mixing Secrets for small studio (Loved this possibly my fave and would recommend to anyone. It’s brilliant.)

The Alternative work book by Moses Schneider (Very helpful for the studio i use and use a lot of the techniques in here)

Guerilla Home Recording (Picked up some good points not bad at all)

Recording Unhimged by Silvia Massey (Same again pretty decent)

The mixing engineers handbook (Really good, some really handy stuff in)

And Zen and the art of mixing. (Wasn’t my cup of tea)

So what am i’m missing or have any slipped through my radar?  I do love physical copy if available.

There's another Mike Senior book called "Recording Secrets for the Small Studio".

Mastering Audio by Bob Katz - it is essential reading for mix engineers too, especially if you are delivering audio to mastering engineers (which you should be).

Otherwise I don't really read 'books on mixing'.
I do read gear manuals, read as many interviews with engineers as possible, and listen to records.

Mixing with your mind is really great but hard to find.

The Daily Adventures of Mixerman is pure comedy

    IMO
The Bob Katz book was not too applicable for DAW users

Having listened to Bob Katz on a pod cast I'm not sure I would read anything by him.  Came across as a bit of an opinionated dinosaur.

I’m not sure how deep he goes into Techniques but one of the books I would really like to read is Al Schmitt’s On The Record.
