practise chair recommendations

Hi, been playing quite a bit of sheet music recently and have started to find the experience quite tiring on the back, with numerous aches and pains appearing. Does anyone know of a good practice chair that would ease such things? From what I've read the Adjustrite musicians folding chair is very good, but of course has a price to match. Is it worth it and are there alternatives that work as well but aren't as pricey?

I've never used the adjustrite, but a google reveals they are approximately similar.
I think the drum stool might be sturdier but I am only judging from photos.

I don't have one, but was considering this as a first option before changing chairs. Maybe worth a go?

I have noticed yesterday that I'm raising the heel on my right foot when I play which I hadn't realised before.  I'm trying to vary sitting and standing to help.  I thought only classical players used foot rests.

I prefer to use a decent guitar support rather than a footrest or special chair. They keep both feet flat on the ground whilst keeping the guitar in a comfortable stress-free position for playing whilst being better anatomically.

The easiest to use is the Dynarette cushion - particularly when swapping around guitars. The cheaper Chinese variants do the job just as well However, my favourite and most stable is the US-produced Neck-Up (I have two of these in different sizes). I avoid the metal ones (e.g. Ergoplay and Gitano) as there is always the danger of scratching the guitar

For practising I just use a cheap general purpose height adjustable office stool on wheels - just lightly padded to give a firm solid base to the coccyx ("sitting bones")

I sit on a Cajon and rest my foot on a Wah Wah Pedal...... Works for me.

I use a 'junior diner' chair something like this - https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/agam-junior-chair-black-70253541/ - I didn't buy it on purpose for guitar, it was for my kids to eat on, but when they grew out of it I discovered it's perfect for playing guitar - higher than a normal chair, the seat is the size of a stool, and the back is small and doesn't get in the way.
