vintage Les Paul Junior prices

The threads on LPJs got me thinking....

what could one be expected to pay for a nice "good condition" '55 LPJ?

Realistically, would something like this be an investment of sorts?

If you were in the market for a cs 57 LPJ would you go the extra and look for a vintage number instead?

Thanks guys

Yeah I'm curious too. Dealers charge more for trust and convenience. Private sellers are asking dealer prices sometimes. ATB are open to offers, no idea how much they move though

Prices two years ago were around £4.5k, today they seem around the £5k to £5.5k mark for an original guitar. I think the ‘59’s command a premium because of the neck profile.
