Logic, midi And a Mac about to get thrown out the window...

Right so I have an audio region, guitar in this case...

enable flex pitch on that region/loop
go to create midi track from flex data
now I have the midi version of the region...

The new midi region/loop plays fine, I can assign different instruments etc...

but.... there’s no notes in the piano roll... none... blank... zilch... nada...

why? There are midi notes in the loop, I can see them in the project time line...

just not in the piano roll.

any ideas?

No... I saved, quit and restarted and there it was... obvs a bug in logic...

I am having the same frustrations with the latest Logic update, I have been using Reaper for the last 2 years, and am trying hard to get back into Logic for the new features, apart from the completely unusable work flow, the new stuff is pretty powerful-then you hit what you think could be a bug, hours wasted trying to get something simple done.
Trying to get a sampled loop to work properly with drum machine designer has just wasted 3 hours today, gave up in the end.
I have the loop matched to a region, working fine as a one shot, played via a midi note of same length.
Create a copy, which is then set to slice, and when converted to DMD, the notes don't line up, and the new midi is a completely random length.
This version should be called ILL-Logic.

Mmmm...I think Studio One can convert my guitar notes into midi the just add any instrument?

I bought Midiguitar 2 to do just that, then later found out that Reaper can already do it natively with Reapitch, or is it Reatune?.
Never ceases to amaze me how such a low priced software can do just about everything, and it is hard to go back to Logic or Protools after trying Reaper.

I have the same bug! Still haven't figured out what triggers it but every 15 mins or so when I'm working with midi the notes in the piano roll will disappear and I have to restart logic.. very annoying, and only started after I upgraded OS of course..
