Hi,
I was wondering if there were exemples of light walnut - tru oil finishes on roasted swamp ash bodies?
Ideally i'd like to get a similar finish to the Elvis Costello JM such as this one

but on swamp ash.
Is this possible to obtain?
Cheers

Stain the wood to taste, then apply Tru-Oil over the top. Remember that Tru-Oil has a tinge of amber

Something like the Charvel Guthrie Govan? I love that finish.
Some folks like water, some folks like wine.
    My feedback thread is here.

Tru-Oil doesn’t give high gloss. You’d need something different for that. @Andyjr1515 has a recent thread where he describes how he uses Ronseal. If you want lesser shine then multiple things layers of an oil finish, de-nibbling between each, followed by buffing and polish.
