Large roundover on ply top?

Before I start planning, will this prove a nightmare to machine and finish? For reference, imagine a 6mm ply top on a standard 40 ish mm body but rounded over ala Rickenbacker 360.

Never done it but my gut reaction is that finishing the roundover on a guitar body is hard enough when the grain is only going one way as the body contours curve back & forth across it.

You'll do well to get an even finish on the edges I would think.

I just did a Pedalboard build in 12mm Birch plywood and rounded a decorative section where the cables run. Looks fine but when I run my fingers across it I can feel each layer. 

I used a file then sandpaper down to 600 grit.
