Gibson Chet Atkins SST string options?

I’m using a custom set of Thomastik flatwounds on all my guitars but as the SST is my only ‘acoustic’ at present, I’d like to give it more of an acoustic flavour. No idea if the guitar originally came stock with acoustic or electric strings and I don’t want to find out the hard way that the bridge can’t take a set of 12’s. Anybody have any experience before I venture once again into Gibson neck break territory?
