Vemuram pedal finish

Hi all,

Can any of the fine folks here guess how Vemuram finish their pedals? It's about the only thing they've got going for them, but I can't deny it looks great - really dig the minimalist, classy finish. I would guess that they're sprayed/plated in a gold finish, then coated with brown nitro or a kind of enamel wash or something? Then looks like sanded back to gold at the edges?
