Purple 12 string Tele build

My band mate asked if I could build him a 12 string Tele. The only instruction I had was "it must be purple".  His budget was small so I based the guitar on this £100 kit from Gear4Music https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/12-String-Knoxville-Electric-Guitar-DIY-Kit/WT0

The body and neck are about the only parts to make it into the final build.

Nice start! Can I ask your opinion on the quality of neck and body?
The rest (excepting the bridge) I would expect to be junk!

The body is nice - very, very light. I've actually finished the build but forgot to post pictures on the way through - more to come very soon. Only problem with the body was glue spots. After staining I had to sand some bits back and restain. The neck is lovely, straight and frets were level. I tidied the fret ends but that was all that was needed. 

The nut was horribly high. If someone with no guitar tech skills had built this kit it would have been impossible to tune, but having filed the slots it plays well.

Plan was for a single pickup, a Seymour Duncan hot rails that I hoped was the same size the original bridge single coil, but it was larger so some routing was required.
