Giving a scratchplate some mojo

Just thought I'd share this incase anyone finds some use from it. I'm all about changing up pickguards but never a fan of the bright white and high gloss finishes of new ones so I decided to go at it with some sandpaper and add some screw driver scrapes. I roughed it up a bit to remove the shine, then used an Amber nitro spray to lightly tint the whole thing, with slightly more added around the edges and I think its looks good, suits the guitar at least.
