IGNORE = user error = hx stomp and reaper

Please ignore - just realised I don't need the focusrite - the hx stomp is now my audio device




I've just got my hx stomp and having trouble with reaper (windows). 

I have hx edit installed so should have the drivers too. 

I am using a focusrite scarlett as an output device. 

What I want to do is stomp into reaper -> 

then hear all output, guitar tracks as well as other stuff all through the scarlett. 

When i go into asio setup if I select helix asio it tells me there is an error in loading the hardware. 

The only way I can get any sound is by selecting direct sound as the audio system, then stomp as in and primary sound driver as out. 

I get sound but have about half a second delay. I've tried changing the buffer size but nothing. 

Am I doing something wrong?
