My mate was the singer in Psycho's Mum.

    :D

And Poisoned Electrick Head were great!
I had a mate at Uni in Liverpool and he took me to one of their gigs - 1994 I reckon. They were still dressed in the Giger masks.. very enjoyable. I think they're back together. I had a period of listening to them and the Ozrics around then.

What sort of music were Psycho's Mum purveyors of?

There's an outfit around here called Topless Barmaids. Most landlords seem OK with advertising the band outside the pub. If you went to the gig you'd find out they were a bunch of 60 something men. Who also keep their shirts on ;)
Along the same lines there was a band called Free Beer. They became Be A Monster iirc.
That was actually Barenaked Ladies, FWIW :)

As for band names, you actually want something a bit bland that you won't regret 10 years later if you get famous - noone ever remembers a band name until you're huge anyway.

I therefore suggest The Flaming Cockbadgers

Yes, due to Labour's appalling administration Britain was on a three day week then and there was no 4th, 5th, 6th or even 7th of July that year. B-)
