1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom Ebony

Added serial images, incredibly hard to take these but managed to just about show the first 4 numbers highlighted in red. The serial has been written on in sharpie twice over the years, but the original engraved number can be seen if you zoom in a bit underneath.

Serial dates to 1970-72 Kalamazoo, I was sold it as a 72 as I believe the pots correlated with this. I’ll double check when I’m home.

Just to add - I got this (from memory) 4 years ago from NoTom in Denmark Street , sold by them as a 72 and no reason to doubt it.

It’s a belter alright, does all you’d expect a Custom from that era to do. The headstock repair is very, very good. And it was refretted by feline not that long ago
