Two speaker jacks on Blues Deluxe?

I just went to my Blues Deluxe to see what ohm the speaker is so I can make sure any attenuator I get is suitable. There speaker is plugged into the amp but there are two jack sockets next to each other. What would the other input be for?

The speaker is 8 ohm.

Unlike the Hotrod, the Blues doesn't have an extension speaker jack.

My amp has a footswitch jack on the top so still not sure what it is

It's a second speaker output... see page 7 of the manual.

Add another 8R speaker here for  a total 4R impedance.

Ah ok - so if I needed to (which I doubt I ever would) I can add a speaker cabinet. I must admit I don't understand impedance - whether 4 is better than 8 or if it's just the case that different speakers are rated differently?

Yes, of course the footswitch jack is on the top.

They must have added another speaker jack at some point - original ones don't have it. The schematic just shows one.
