Has anyone been a hired gun on someone else's recording? How did it work and how did you get paid?

Yes, I’ve not had much spec studio time over the years. Given the capital costs and overheads it’s perfectly understandable too. I’ve only really done low-cost spec or heavily discounted producing work when I’ve had a long run of bread and butter stuff, but at the end if it needed a creative recharge.

If I remember correctly, @fastonebaz was once a hired gun in a bongo flick. Kerry does Calne I believe it was called. It didn't go to plan, since his lightening fast finger tapping action gave the poor lass third degree burns rather than making her squirt. I don't think he got paid. Hey ho.
