Radial J48 issue

I fitted a new LR Baggs Anthem PUP in my acoustic, ..so I thought it might be good to use the radial DI to record it.

 If I DI straight Into my Presonus interface, all is fine.

 As soon as I go via the Radial...things get a little distorted when strumming bit harder, levels are showing fine on the inputs, Ive tried lowering the PUP output, tried the pad on the Radial...no joy.

The Radial with Bass guitar is fine.

What are you plugging the output of the Radial into?

The input of the Presonus 16.4.2 mixer...via XLR with 48v switched on.
