SOLD: My Double Cut London Plane Top Guitar

edited August 2020 in Guitars £ tFB Trader
This is my lockdown project, inspired by @Rabs' wood and @Corvus' superior binding skills.

The back is non-weight relieved one piece mahogany and the top book-matched London plane, from a tree outside Euston Station cut down to make way for HS2.

The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard . The frets are Jescar 55090 (0.09" wide and 0.055" tall) and the neck is bound over the fret ends making for a very comfortable experience.

Finished in a light coat of nitrocellulose lacquer. The body binding isn't perfect everywhere as it was learning excercise for me. My next one will be better.

The all-new hardware is Gotoh, pots CTS, switch CRL and jack Switchcraft of course. The pickups are generic mini-humbuckers but they don't sound too shabby at all.

The bone nut is 42.5mm wide and string spacing 35mm. The action is around 3/64 treble and 1/16" bass strung with D'Addario XL110-BT 10-46 strings. It plays very nicely indeed.

Weight is just under 7 pounds.

Build information is here:

I'm looking to recover my material costs to put towards the next build so I'm asking £600 plus delivery which I think is reasonable.

I don't have a case to fit or a packing box but will sort something out.
