Two input interfaces

What's Hot
Been putting a toe in recording / in-the-box playing waters via a borrowed gen 1 (?)Scarlett 2i4. Time has come to return that, so looking for my own interface. I've had advice to get four outs for reamp purposes, but I suspect 2 in / 2 out is enough for now.

Might want midi in but can live without it.

Suggestions? Leaning towards the Audient at the mo'.

Thanks all

I've got a Komplete Audio 6, and it's brilliant. The big main volume control on the top is incredibly useful, but it's also low-latency, low-noise and is generally a great interface if you just want a simple, no-DSP solution.

It also works with Linux out of the box, no drivers required, which was one of my main requirements (obviously Windows and Mac are a given).

What's monitoring like? I've heard it said that headphone output is a little quiet.

Not that I've noticed - I've never needed to get the headphone output past 2 o'clock. You can also switch between monitoring outputs 1/2 and 3/4, which is quite handy for an A/B mix if you can be bothered with the routing.

Audient, Focusrite, NI, all much of a muchness really.

Check out RME too, bit more money, rock solid drivers.

Guess it's essentially a mature technology so to be expected

So to expand a little: are there any good interface/ software bundles around? I know NI were were  one back in June but that appears to have expired.
