Software for midi keyboard display on screen

Does anyone know either: 

a) How to change the highlighted keys on the pop up midi keyboard visual on garageband/logic, from grey to any other (possibly brighter more noticeable) colour?

b) a free software that allows my midi keyboard to be displayed on screen and the notes I play to be highlighted in a bright colour?

This is for online teaching purposes so a student can see the keyboard on their screen. Apple allows this feature but the keys highlight grey which isn't ideal on the black keys!
