Rock isn't my thing, it has a surprising amount of clean headroom if you max the master volume and use the preamp gain as your volume. That is with a couple of good, sensitive Celestions in my 2x12 though.

Oh even better! I always heard it was more 'dirty clean' than clean, but it'd get you out of trouble for sure. Even the 50 watter is mega cheap...

You could even bolt one to the inside of your combo, with a direct line from your pedalboard / emulator and an IEC lead permanently plugged into it - hit problems with your amp mid-gig, power it down, flip the speaker connection and power up the T-amp and you're running again in twenty seconds or so.

Might cost a fair bit more, but that's a hell of a lot of power in something that's almost certainly well built to last.
