    Absolutely fine as long as you don't mind it then being about 20W.

    With most speakers you'll barely notice the difference, and if the new one is more sensitive it might even be louder.

    Yea verily. I once put a 16 Ohm Celestion 100W (12"k" something) in a 130W Peavey stereo combo and it was just as loud as the surviving Peavey speaker. The blown one was rated at 200W... not on yer nelly!

    Nothing job, son dragged it home 10 yrs ago. "My dad'll fix this for you" ?? "Nah, he won't want anything for doing it!"
