I've just heard that both Paul Gray and Bryn Merrick are suffering from throat cancer.

Terrible news and I wish them both the very best. I know from what I've heard over the years that they're very nice blokes. They're also (obviously) brilliant musicians. I really hope they both pull through.

Wow, really? He was the best Damned bassist for me. He's just started a band with Capt Sensible called Sensible Gray Cells and they were supposed to be doing some gigs. Capt has put the whole thing on hold until Paul gets better, naturally.

He is our 'local' MU Rep and has supported us at the Analogue To Digital Show's I help organise by being a guest speaker on our Music Industry Panels. Really nice bloke (as is the Captain, my mate lived next door to him in Brighton and he was a customer at the guitar store I worked in).
